Pole Vaulting and Free Photo Sessions

My sister made it to nationals for pole vaulting (division II) and vaulted today. I was so proud of her! They were streaming the meet online so I was hoping to get to watch from work, but I had a meeting come up at the last minute and wasn't able to see her vaults. I'm so sad I missed out - but here is a picture from her qualifying meet - I'm so happy I got to see that! Enjoy the rest of your time at nationals lil sis!

Christy Pole Vault 3.1.2008

I haven't had a chance to do a photoshoot for two weeks and I miss it so much. If anyone out there would like a free session sometime in the next two weeks (Saturday or Sunday) let me know! I am offering a few more free sessions with the option to purchase either a discounted CD with the images ($50) or discounted prints (pricing of prints can be discussed)

Here are a few of my favorite recent images -

Coconut Shrimp

Tonight I tried to make coconut shrimp as a special treat with dinner. They were good - but didn't quite turn out as well as I would have liked. If anyone has a great recipe - I'd love to hear it!

I dipped the shrimp in egg and then rolled it in dried coconut. I then sauteed in margarine and broiled until crisp.

Tips anyone?

L&L's Portrait Session

A few weeks ago I got to spend the afternoon with L and her [almost] 5 month old baby L. They showed me around a part of Seattle I had never seen before and and we got to enjoy an unusually sunny February afternoon playing in the yard of a BEAUTIFUL Catholic school.

Isn't little L just precious??

Mama L said little L has just recently begun to have an obsession with her feet. I am so glad I could capture this for them!

I think I got a different expression from little L with every shot.

Some people may disagree with me - but I think baby drool is SOOO adorable!

These two were so fun to spend time with!

Mama L told me this was one of her favorite shots from the session.

Again - this is picture heavy, but what can I say....I LOVE pictures!

M's Maternity Session

I'm so far behind on blogging - but I'll do my best to catch up! The first quarter of the year is considered "busy season" for those of us that are able to call auditing our profession. Luckily for me I've had some time to get some photo shoots in too!

In mid February I had the opportunity to take maternity portraits for my beautiful co-worker "M." She and her husband are anxiously awaiting their first baby and I'm excited to shoot some newborn portraits for the as soon as he arrives!

M's house was one of the coolest I have ever seen. She had so many modern funky colors and amazing furniture, but all put together in a very comfortable atmosphere. Once she has settled in with her new little one, hopefully she'll give me some decorating tips!

I have so many more pictures I could share, but I don't want to overwhelm this post with too many!

Thank's M for letting me spend the afternoon with you! I am so excited to meet baby "A"!

H Family - A day at the park

Last weekend I got to spend the afternoon with the "H" family. They are a wild bunch and sure know how to get the most out of a day at the park.

Baby X was not thrilled to be in the tire swing.

Look at those baby blues!!!

While A and X were playing with some pebbles - C thought it would be funny to point out X's "diaper crack"

Little X was exploring everything! His wonderful big sister A was his tour guide
